Join the 2023-2024 National Fellowship Program

GWIS National Fellowship Program invites you to serve on the committee for the 2023-2024 fellowship competition. The committee plays a critical role in advancing the fellowship program’s goal to recognize emerging women scholars with great potential and to advance the participation of women in STEM, Life Science, and related Social Science fields. This is a great opportunity to hone leadership skills, expand professional networks, advance the mission of GWIS, and gain practical experience as a grant administrator. If you are interested in participating, please complete the following interest formFellowship committee members and reviewers may not be 2023-2024 fellowship applicants

Chapter News
Here is wishing everyone a wonderful New Year 2023 from all of us at GWIS!
While we wait for the New Year to bring us many more joys, challenges and successes in overcoming those challenges, why don't we take another look at all the wonderful memories accrued over the holidays?

Let's kick things off with Annual Holiday party hosted by the St. Louis Chapter Graduate Women in Science... including a Christmas sweater contest winner!
We're sure the event was super fun and look forward to more exciting events from them this year!
The GWIS Auburn Chapter recently put up pictures from their Jr. Mad Scientist 2022 event. This year was also a huge success attributed to all the curious little kids showing up. Mad props to the exec team and a huge shoutout to the volunteers for spending their time and effort to organize and engage with budding young scientists and keeping the fun of science alive!!
The PennState University Chapter Graduate Women in Science hosted their 1st Annual Cultural Exchange Potluck Dinner in an effort to foster newer connections across departments. What a wonderful idea to make new friends and grow networks this holiday season!
The only request they had for the guests: "bring a dish and a story to share, and come ready to make new friends across departments".

We hope to see many more events like these, promoting the exchange of ideas and possibly encouraging new, scientific collaborations along the way!
