STANDARD MEMBERSHIP DUESDepending the stage of your career the following membership categories are available both in the National and Chapter options, and the prices shown include both the National and Chapter dues:
RegularProfessional, non-student members.
TransitionalReduced fees for Postdoctoral Associates and Regular Members facing financial uncertainty.
Graduate StudentMembers who are registered for an advanced degree (Masters or PhD).
Affiliate-UndergraduateAffiliates are individuals who support the GWIS organization but do not hold a baccalaureate or higher degree. This includes undergraduate students who are studying in a STEM field, and anyone who supports the mission of the organization.
National Life MemberRegular members who have elected to pay life membership dues.
EmeritusRetired members.
Membership Due Tiers - InternationalTo encourage global membership and in acknowledgement of the diversity of annual incomes experienced by potential members around the world, members working or living in developing countries as listed in the tiers below shall be eligible for reduced dues in several membership categories. Chapter dues to the International Chapter shall be waived for members in Tiers 1 and 2. Members who opt for dual membership with International Chapter shall pay standard chapter dues. Categorization of countries into tiers is based on the Society for Neuroscience “Members in Developing Countries” list. The Membership Committee shall update this list every two years based on the SfN list. Members paying reduced rates shall have the full rights of membership. The reduced membership rate chart and list of tiers shall be published on the GWIS website.
