GWIS Lunch & Learn: Defining and Achieving your Career Success |

The GWIS Special Programming Committee is hosting another lunch & learn featuring Heinz Plaumann, a professional career advisor and coach. He's also the Founder of QuantumQik Careers. The goal of this talk is to inspire GWIS members to expand their professional network! Learn about the benefits of networking and how to network successfully at different stages of your career. The talk will be 30 mins with 15 mins for Q&A. We'd love to have you join live, but I will also be recording it. I plan to upload it to Youtube immediately and then will send a link to everyone who has registered. You can watch it during your lunch time, whenever that may be :) Questions? Email cole@gwis.org |

The GWIS Rolla Chapter recently held their Galentine's Day Movies event! They baked cookies, watched movies and we are sure they had a blast making new friends, exchanging some science in the process. We'd love to see pictures when possible!! |

The GWIS Nashville Chapter recently held a "Postdocs and Pizza" event highlighting some really cool Postdocs Drs. Camila Alviar-Guzman, Iva Chitraker, Annick F.N. Tanguay, and Sarah Libring and their take on 'What life is like to be a Postdoctoral Fellow'. We are all for highlighting cool women scientists and we hope we see many more events like these!! |

We figured we could add one more important event that spans geographical boundaries..
The GWIS Los Angeles Chapter is hosting its VIRTUAL 6th annual Across the STEM verse conference on the 4th of March 2023. Since this wasn't limited to people in LA, we figured this could be interesting for everyone who wants to learn about the various STEM fields and explore opportunities to network with industry professionals. The conference will see panelists from various academia and industry sectors: Drs. Shu Li at Petri Bio, William Heath at Eli Lilly and Company, Edna Chow Maneval at ORIC Pharmaceuticals Inc., Natalie Masís, PhD, MS, RD at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, and Rakhee Patel, who works in the non-profit sector.
