We invite self-nominations and peer nominations from across all career stages and disciplines.

GWIS National Conference 2026

We are excited to announce the 105th Annual Graduate Women in Science (GWIS) National Conference, hosted by the Black Hills Chapter in Rapid City, South Dakota, from June 11–13, 2026.

This year’s theme, “Thriving Through Change: The Power of Scientific Community,” emphasizes the importance of collaboration, mentorship, and strong scientific networks in advancing careers and innovation.

The NOMIS Foundation & Science Young Explorer Award recognizes bold, early-career researchers pursuing innovative, interdisciplinary research that challenges conventional boundaries. Designed to support visionary scientists at pivotal stages of independence, the award celebrates high-risk, high-reward ideas across the life sciences, social sciences, and emerging interdisciplinary fields.
